I started visiting this dental office over four months ago. Initially, I felt a bit uncomfortable with how familiar and casual the staff tried to be with patients, as I’ve had negative experiences with this type of unprofessional approach in the past. On multiple occasions more than three times I’ve had to wait over 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to see the dentist. Today, I arrived 30 minutes early for my 12:00 PM appointment, yet by 12:25, I still had not been called in. Frustrated, I told them I couldn’t wait any longer and left. I cannot recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy.

I was looking for the best dentist in Midtown NY and this was one of the places that popped up so I had to see for myself, all reviews are legit.I had an amazing experience at Smile Cafe Dental Spa. The entire team was friendly and professional, and the office was spotless and inviting. Here’s a summary of my experience: - Made an appointment after buying Groupon ($20) - Appointment at 9:45am - Got there at 9:30am (I already filled out all the paperwork before my appointment) - Waiting until 10am and then realized I needed to leave the office before 10:45am so I told the receptionist - Receptionist quickly gave me an X-ray and I started to be seen at 10:10am - Hygienist asked me if I had concerns about my teeth and took more pictures of my teeth - The dentist came in and looked at my teeth and suggested a small cosmetic procedure - Hygienist started doing the actual teeth cleaning for about 10 min - Took a scan of my teeth and more pictures - Dentist came in and suggested the small cosmetic procedure again I’m not rating this place low because you get what you pay for, and it’s pretty expected ($20 for teeth cleaning is obviously impossible and suspect). The cost is really $20 + time to listen to their sales pitch. You could prob get a more thorough cleaning if you allot more time to listening to their pitch - I’d say give it a good 2 hours, but at that point you might want to check out dental student places if you’re looking to save money. I’d also say that, if they want to close in on a deal, they should really improve their speed. I’ve gotten Invisalign and braces before, and the whole process here was like molasses compared to other places I’ve been (eg taking pictures/scans should not be this slow). It’s not a good patient experience to wait so long, beyond the fact that I needed to wait 25 min past my appointment time to even begin.

I went for my semi annual dental cleaning. These folks are THOROUGH! From xray imaging to sono scanning to dental cleaning , everyone takes their time and are very diligent with their craft. The staff are super nice and polite, friendly and respectful. One thing I’d say, this place is extremely busy. They do tend to run behind a lot. For example I waited 30 mins to be called in. So budget your time. This isn’t a quick in and out kinda place. Having said it, their work is top notch. They could work on their time management and work flow. But I’d recommend it regardless due to high quality of care. 1 other thing their appointments reminder system is glitchy and auto makes appt you didn’t ask for so watch out for that.

I have been going to Smile Cafe Dental Spa for over a year, and they really care about their patients. I use to have sharp jaw pain, my bite allowed me to chew only one side of my mouth, and my teeth were crooked. They calmly, respectfully, and clearly explained why Invisalign was right for me. Now I don’t have that sharp jaw pain, I can chew on both sides, and my teeth as a result of the treatment got straighter. They have a 3D high-tech scanner, which I felt was a seamless process and made the difference in understanding my bite when paired with Dr. Daniel Noor that cares. I’m so thankful I found my Dentist and dental team that actually care about their patients.

What a fantastic dentistry practice! I bought a Groupon for them last year and they did one of the best teeth cleanings I ever had, so when I updated my insurance this year I made sure to go back to them. I had a fantastic experience today at Smile Cafe. The staff, especially Astrid, provided excellent care and made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. My only concern was the excessive communication before the appointment, including texts and calls about paperwork, some calls came in after 7 pm. It was my first time at Smile Cafe and I found Dr. Noor and his staff to be very efficient and kind. Dr. Noor and Dr. Kim both took time explaining what they noticed on my x-rays and suggested a clear course of action, without pressuring me to make a decision. I've been going to Smile Cafe for over 5 years now. They did my invisalign and did a great job, multiple rounds over two years with lots of adjustments and no extra charge. They really do their best to make you happy with the results. Cleanings are top notch as well. I am nervous generally with dentists and often fall asleep during cleanings there. I was fortunate enough to have been referred to Smile Cafe from my prior dentist. Best dentist visit I've ever had. I went for a cleaning/xray/exam. Everyone was friendly, it was efficient, I wasn't waiting for anything very long. It seemed like they really wanted me there ha. (Was in pain went through root canal & crowns) So I was seen last minute with the utmost care. They speak several languages and noticed that there were a few patients that were from other countries and had the opportunity to witness how they were extremely cognisant of how to best related in their language.. I went to Smile Care for Invisalign and a checkup after not having been to the dentist in a while. While I was there they also did a cleaning that was much needed, as my teeth were looking spotless and pearly white afterwards. They performed several mouth scans and have a plan prepared for my Invisalign treatment and I look forward to starting that soon. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Smile Care!

I had decades of not smiling in photos before I came to Smile Cafe. Their team helped me achieve something that I had given up on being able to have. I was told by previous dentists that some of the work I needed could not be done. That I could not be helped. Smile Cafe proved that the intricate surgery and dental restoration that I needed could be done. Dr. Noor is fantastic. He explains everything that needs to be done. He and his doctors and dental specialists have been with me every step of the way through the many procedures that I needed. Smile Cafe has state of the art technology and patient, kind, and understanding people like Astrid and Ron, just to name a few. I cannot thank everyone enough.

They were pressed for us to submit paperwork so we wouldn't delay our appt. We arrived on tube and still had to wait 20+ minutes. Still, we had a great experience. Surprisingly enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend. The staff was incredible. They accomodated me so well! The only time I felt judged / misheard was when one of the hygenists did my cleaning. I felt like she lacked empathy and instead of listening just kept assuming things about me, at that point I wanted to leave. Everyone from the front desk staff to the technicians, hygienists, and doctors was courteous, helpful (explained billing, treatment plans, and next steps in detail), and professional. Dr. Noor explained the mechanics of human jaws and teeth - how stress and misalignment may cause headaches, grinding of our teeth, and other issues. I had such a great experience visiting Dr. Noors office. As a first time patient, my expectations were far exceeded. I was running late and they accommodated me with no issues. EXCELLENT! SUPERB! PERFECTION AT IT'S FINEST! I highly recommend Smile Cafe Dental Spa. Dr. Gober did a phenomenal job on my teeth. He is a perfectionist that goes the extra mile and cares about your teeth and mouth. He even gave me his cell phone number the day of my surgery in case I needed anything. I walked in there with two teeth that were a hot mess and now they are totally the opposite! Two beautiful implants that look my real teeth. I couldn't be happier and ALL the staff is absolutely lovely. The scheduler, the receptionists, office manager, dental assistants, and hygienist are all a pleasure.

Absolutely recommend this dentist. Everyone is super friendly and will answer all your questions until you are comfortable. The hygienist did an excellent job on the cleaning because I had stains on my teeth since high school I was told by many dentists it was practically permanent and for some reason she removed it!! Now my teeth are a few shades whiter and then did so without a numbing agent which was also a first. Goes to show how gentle and effective the cleaning was. My visit was for a general cleaning and will be using them from now on.

Smile Cafe Dental is by far the best experience I’ve had with a dentist. The staff is beyond kind and couldn’t have been more attentive to my needs. The dentist was gentle with my procedures and made me feel very comfortable. It was such a pleasure to get know Astrid. She was the person in charge of my in processing. She made sure that I was taken care of and checked in on me very often to make sure I was feeling ok. The best part was knowing that they acknowledge teachers and service members in the community and even work remotely with overseas military personnel. This is very important for me being a service member myself. Needless to say, I will be referring my friends to Smile Cafe. My teeth came out so beautifully, I’m just thrilled with my new smile. Can’t wait for my next visit.

I’m a first time patient 🙋🏻‍♀️ I have two opposites experience, let’s begin with the best one, Norys and Francisco took care of me and I don't hype when I say they’re two of the kindest people ever! They were super nice, cute, explained everything with so much patience and they even stayed overtime only to complete my treatment, they made everything very cozy, when I say they’re great I really mean it!! On the other side, Astrid (apparently the office manager), needs to work on her abilities to deal with stressful situations, I was about to get a whitening and she took me out of the chair because there was “a patient before me”, that’s not the way to solve a situation like this, besides she made me feel guilty all the time and that she was trying to “help me” when they made a mistake with my reservation! Anyway, I'll keep the good experience with Norys and Francisco, they were great and made everything worthy!

Smile cafe is a great spot for all your dental needs. I got my teeth cleaned and my teeth feel amazing from Dr. Joe Kim. He also handled a small cavity. I’d highly recommend him. He was extremely patient and took time to explain as well as make sure I was comfortable. The total procedure was also quick and painless. I was in and out and feel great.

First time patient! No one accepted my jobs dental coverage but they did. They sent the forms to fill out before hand so when I arrived everything moved smoothly. They called me back before my appointment time, took lots of pictures and X-rays. They are very efficient and knowledgeable and EVERYONE had a SPECTACULAR attitude!!!Cleaned my teeth perfectly, talked to me about daily care, suggested some things for a better smile but I never felt pressured. The team at Smile Cafe Dental is absolutely amazing! The customer service and attention to details is immaculate and everyone there treated me with care. Dr. Noor was super informative about my TMJ and the steps I need to take in order to correct it. The staff are so friendly and welcoming especially Ronnie. Dr. Gober is amazing. I had to wait a little while to be seen and on numerous occasions the dental assistant came and apologized to me. While I was having my procedure done. they were making jokes so I really was very comfortable and relaxed. They really care about their patients 👍👍

When I first started coming here I was terrified of going to the dentist due to some prior experiences with other practices. I wasn't just self conscious about my smile, I hated opening my mouth. It prohibited me from speaking, feeling comfortable eating in public, laughing, and singing, amongst other things. One day someone close to me passed away, someone I loved very much, and they always told me that the world can be a better place when you make the choice to smile, so I said a prayer, I cried a lot, lol and I made a promise to do whatever it takes to find a way to fall in love with my smile... I thought if I changed my smile I could change my world, but I was still afraid. I thought it was by pure dumb luck that I stumbled on the best dentist office in NY. When I walked I to smile cafe, I was still afraid... Before every appointment I brought 2 stress balls just to squeeze my way through the discomfort, and every single time, the staff at this office was there to comfort me and help me through the promise I made. I didn't have to explain my story, or why I was there. They were so nice to me I immediately assumed that I couldn't afford their care, but they met my fears with a plan of action and support. Sometimes, on the tough days, an extra staff member would come over and hold my hand and rub my shoulder when was overwhelmed. In my mind I felt like they cared about me as much as I was trying to care about me, and it really made the difference. For some places you are just an appointment in an assembly line of patients that needs attention. At this office Dr. Noor and his ENTIRE TEAM, make it a point of service to ensure that you are cared for, that you are healthy, that you are comfortable, and that you keep your promise and smile. Now, thanks to them, I talk and I eat a lot, lol. I laugh out loud and I sing like no one is watching, lol... but more importantly, I smile... and my friend was right because sometimes, even this crazy world that we live in finds a way to be more beautiful than I ever imagined.

Dr. Daniel Noor, Dr. Luis Umana, Ingirth Garcia and the rest of the team here have provided such a life changing experience. Right from your first step in, everyone remembers and greets you by your name. Helpful, caring and charming. I always struggled with my smile and even more so on fixing it. I had been to a handful of orthodontists prior to my visit here, where all had requested a heavy scale and frightening procedure. I've been on Invisalign now for the past 3 years and I'm starting to wonder what it will feel like to be finished soon. All my visits here feel like visiting good friends, and I actually look forward to catching up with everyone. From orthodontal to dental work here, I have never before been happier about my smile. It's not an easy endeavor to go through, but the Smile Cafe crew here has been supportive and encouraging every step of the way. Even more so, the good habits of brushing they've instilled upon me. I recently finished my 2.5 year Invisalign treatment with Dr. Noor at his Smile Cafe dental practice. I’m very pleased with the results and look forward to maintaining my progress by wearing my retainers. At the beginning of this journey, I made a commitment to follow each instruction I receive and to wear my aligners in excess of the recommended hours per day. Following through on this commitment ensured that I would achieve the best possible outcome. However, this outcome was only possible because, for each new set of aligners, Dr. Noor invested significant time to utilize the talent he’s developed over the years to modify the standard plan created by the Invisalign software. In my view, these modifications add Dr. Noor’s unique ‘artistry’ to the ‘science’ that Invisalign provides.
