Dr. Peter Rinaldi, DMD, AAACD

Dr. Peter Rinaldi is a renowned cosmetic dentist with a focus on comprehensive, health-centered dental practices. Serving the residents of Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and New York City. With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Rinaldi is widely recognized for his expertise in veneers, crowns, and complete smile makeovers, as well as his pioneering contributions to modern cosmetic dentistry.

Throughout his career, Dr. Rinaldi has placed more than 50,000 porcelain laminate veneers, creating exquisite smiles for prominent figures in sports, business, government, and entertainment. He was one of the first dentists to use lasers in aesthetic gum recontouring, reflecting his commitment to innovation and precision. His expertise extends to Full Mouth Reconstruction and all facets of cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Rinaldi is also a respected educator and thought leader in the field. He has lectured extensively on aesthetic dental procedures in the United States and the United Kingdom, sharing his knowledge with dentists worldwide. He has served as a clinical instructor at the Las Vegas Institute and the University of Kentucky Dental School and held the position of clinical director for the Aesthetic Advantage Hands-On Continuums at New York University, Baylor College of Dentistry, Palm Beach Community College, and Eastman Dental School in London.

A trusted advisor to leading dental companies, including Kerr, Brasseler, Zenith Dental, Ivoclar, and 3M, Dr. Rinaldi has contributed to advancements in dental materials and techniques. He is also a contributing author to two prominent aesthetic textbooks, Cosmesis of the Mouth, Face, and Jaw and Minimally Invasive Techniques of Oculofacial Rejuvenation.

Dr. Rinaldi earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1983 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine). He holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and the Maryland State Dental Society. In 1998, he earned AACD accreditation, a prestigious achievement in the field. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Osseous Integration and the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics.

Dr. Rinaldi’s groundbreaking work has been featured in leading dental publications and popular magazines such as Vogue, Allure, Marie Claire, Washingtonian, Shape, Baltimore Magazine, and New Beauty. Recognized as one of “America’s Top Dentists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, he was also named one of the top clinical instructors in dentistry by Practical Aesthetics magazine (2001–2003) and featured in The Leading Physicians of the World by the International Association of HealthCare Professionals.

Dr Rinaldi is very happy to be returning to New York City where he began his cosmetic career with Dr Larry Rosenthal on the upper East side. Outside the practice, Dr. Rinaldi enjoys spending time with his wife and children, perfecting his golf game, cooking, and watching classic films.
